Memphis Depay missed Corinthians training on Tuesday at CT Joaquim Grava due to pain in his left ankle, though he is not considered a concern for the club’s upcoming matches, according to Globo.com.

The issue arose in Sunday’s derby with Santos when the number 10 tried to control the ball, lost his footing and fell.

Fernando Diniz also worked without André Ramalho, who is recovering from labyrinthitis, and Gabriel Paulista and Raniele, who were managing workload. Midfielder André and forward Yuri Alberto, both in the final phase of recovery from thigh injuries, trained indoors.

The session focused on possession, crossing and finishing. Those who played more than 45 minutes against Santos completed recovery work inside the training centre.

The remaining players stayed on the pitch for a full practice game overseen by Diniz.

Corinthians host Chapecoense at the Neo Química Arena on Sunday at 19:30 Brasília time in the 26th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Hugo Souza, Gabriel Paulista and Raniele are suspended after their third yellow cards and will miss that match. Corinthians also have the first leg of their Conmebol Libertadores quarter-final against Estudiantes to come.
