Leicester take on Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday, coming off the back of their qualification for the UEFA Conference League quarter-finals.
Midfielder Papy Mendy has been sidelined for much of the current campaign but admitted that he’s kept his head down waiting for an opportunity to impress Brendan Rodgers.
“To be honest, nothing has changed in my mind,” he told CITY Matchday Magazine.
“Comparing now to earlier in the season, everything is the same. I always try to give my best and work hard, no matter what the circumstances are. If I play or I don’t play, that doesn’t change.
“I always try to stay focused so that if the manager needs me, I’m there to give my best. That is my mentality.”
The 29-year-old midfielder has featured only twice in the league this season with both coming in Leicester’s last two outings.
