Al-Ahly's management is planning a meeting between Sayed Abdelhafidh and Aliou Dieng to discuss the terms of the Malian midfielder's contract extension with the "Red Devils."
With his contract set to expire on June 30, 2026, Aliou Dieng has yet to reach an agreement for an extension. Negotiations have stalled due to financial disagreements between both parties.
According to Egyptian media, Al-Ahly has decided to increase its offer, proposing $1.6 million for the first season, with a $100,000 increment per year over a three-season span.
The 28-year-old midfielder was linked with a transfer to Valencia this winter, but he clarified that nothing was signed and talks never progressed beyond negotiations. He emphasized that he respects Al-Ahly's desire to keep him and is ready to continue his journey in Cairo.
Signed in 2019 from MC Alger, the Mali international (46 caps, 2 goals) has played 237 matches for Al-Ahly, scoring 8 goals and providing 11 assists.
