Breakout star of Morocco's Botola, Rayan Azouagh has just secured his first professional contract in Europe. The 18-year-old goalkeeper is leaving Ittihad Tanger to join Sevilla FC.
The youngest goalkeeper in the history of the Moroccan championship, he made his debut against FUS Rabat (0-0) in September 2024. Since then, he has become the sensation between the posts for IRT.
The club from Tangier thanked their young keeper for "his dedication and sacrifice during the period he defended the club's colors" and wished him "a successful professional career filled with achievements."
The Moroccan U18 international shot-stopper has signed a three-year contract with the Andalusian club. He will initially play with the B team to steadily continue his development.
By signing in Spain, Rayan Azouagh is following in the footsteps of the Atlas Lions' goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou, who guarded Sevilla FC’s goal for four years (2019-2023) before moving to Al-Hilal FC in Saudi Arabia.
