Algerian talent Amine Chiakha has caught the eye of French club Rennes, according to Danish media reports.

The 19-year-old striker is currently playing for Danish side Vejle BK on loan from FC Copenhagen, to whom he is contracted until 2029.

According to the website "tipsbladet", the French team has sent scouts to monitor the rising Algerian goal scorer in the Danish league, aiming to sign him during the winter mercato.

Rennes are looking to replicate the Doku and Raphinha deals by signing Amine Chiakha in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Back in 2020, the French club signed Belgian star Jérémy Doku in a deal that earned his former club Anderlecht 26 million euros, before selling him in 2023 for 60 million euros.

That same year, they also signed Brazilian star Raphinha from Sporting CP, before selling him to English side Leeds United.

Stade Rennais are planning to invest in Amine Chiakha's talent, hoping to benefit from his sporting contributions before potentially marketing him to one of Europe's top clubs.

The Algerian prodigy began his season with FC Copenhagen before moving to Vejle BK on loan.

Chiakha has featured in 14 matches this season, contributing to 7 goals between scoring and assists.

He particularly shined in the Danish Cup, netting 4 goals and providing an assist in just two appearances in the competition.

He hasn't featured for the Algerian national team in recent months, with his last appearance dating back to March, during the World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Mozambique.
