Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has caused quite a stir in Spanish footballing media with his recent press conference.
During the presser, Perez spoke openly against Barcelona, doubling down on his Negreira claims even though nothing has been proven about the club’s involvement.
Perez also accused Barcelona of stealing the league titles during the Negreira years.
Accusing Barcelona of their involvement in the Negreira case, Perez levelled some serious allegations against the Catalans, notably accusing them of robbing the titles.
“Only seven league titles won in my presidency? I actually won 14, the rest were robbed from me,” Perez said in the presser.

Even in the current season, Perez said Real Madrid were stolen 18 points.
“We prepared a video showing the 18 points that were stolen away from us this season,” he added.
In a recent interaction, Barcelona playmaker Fermin Lopez was asked about Perez’s allegations, to which he responded with logic and reason.
Instead of entertaining Perez’s desperate accusations, Lopez argued that Barcelona were simply too good at the time, and it was not a case of the club ‘stealing’ the league titles.

“What Florentino Perez has said cannot be true because Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez were playing. It is impossible that Barcelona have stolen league titles,” he said (h/t Que Thi Jugues).
It is clear that Fermin is referring to Barcelona’s dream team that dominated Spanish football at one time. It was the pinnacle of the club’s dream team, featuring some of the most decorated players in the world.
Fermin Lopez, though, doesn’t seem too bothered about Perez’s comments and is focusing on finishing the Barcelona season on a strong note. He is already one of the club’s top performers this term with 30 goal involvements.
