Lionel Messi has been named in the MLS Team of the Matchday, presented by Audi.

According to Inter Miami, the accolade relates to week six of the 2026 regular season. It is his second Team of the Matchday selection of this regular season.

Messi is Inter Miami's captain.

His precise header at the new state-of-the-art Nu Stadium registered the club's first ever goal at the venue, helping to partially equalise the scoreline.
