Leo Messi has been named in Major League Soccer’s Team of the Matchday, presented by Audi, for Matchday 26 of the 2026 regular season after being involved in both goals in Inter Miami’s 2-2 draw with Nashville at Nu Stadium on Saturday evening. Messi then put his side 2-1 ahead in the 62nd minute with a first-time left-footed strike from just outside the box that found the far post.

That effort was his 19th league goal of the season, moving him top of the MLS Golden Boot race and taking him to 99 goals for Inter Miami in all competitions since joining the club in 2023.
