Which active footballer has scored the most career goals?
It will come as no surprise which duo top the chart, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi having consistently scored an unholy number of goals in nearly every season of their careers.
Such is their dominance, that their nearest rival for the title Robert Lewandowski is still a staggering 180 strikes behind them – and he’s certainly no slouch when it comes to putting the ball in the back of the net.
But who else does the top 10 feature and how many goals have they scored?
Well, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has enjoyed a rather lengthy career in which he's played everywhere from Ajax to Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, and he fares very respectably.
Luis Suarez and the most recent recipient of the Ballon d'Or, Karim Benzema, also make the grade.
Whilst there are a couple of surprises, too, with the Brazilian Hulk and Bosnia's Edin Dzeko featuring.
Check out the entire top 10 below.
10. Gonzalo Higuain - 366 goals in 785 apps9. Edin Dzeko - 377 goals and 826 apps 8. Hulk - 380 goals in 736 apps 7. Edinson Cavani - 419 goals in 751 apps6. Karim Benzema - 432 goals in 861 apps5. Luis Suarez - 508 goals in 845 apps4. Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 554 goals in 936 apps3. Robert Lewandowski - 601 goals in 824 apps2. Lionel Messi - 781 goals in 990 apps1. Cristiano Ronaldo - 817 goals in 1136 apps
It really is quite surprising that Hulk, a right-winger, has managed to bag himself 380 career goals.
The bulk of those strikes came for either Porto, Zenit or Shanghai. However, Hulk has also spent time in the Brazilian league, where he plies his trade now for Atletico Mineiro and still scores regularly.
This season alone he has scored 10 goals in eight appearances in the league.
But of course, we can't round this off without discussing that man at number one.
Ronaldo's 817 goals is truly incredible, as is his total number of appearances (1136).
Who knows whether Messi will have caught up to him by the time the curtains close on the duos' illustrious careers.
One thing is for sure, though, we'll likely never see anything like them again.
