Thanks to an incredible performance on the final day, the Argentina star finished the regular season with 29 goals and 19 assists.

Such performances earned him the Golden Boot award and he showed off the trophy ahead of the opening match against Nashville. Then he capped off the moment with a rare goal.

Messi scored Miami's post-season opener after linking up with Luis Suarez and rounding out the attack with a diving header. 

It's the kind of goal you don't see too often from the multi-Ballon d'Or winner. But we're sure the Herons will love every type of goal from their captain.
