Michael Gregoritsch says he would like to remain at Augsburg beyond the summer.
"Definitely. I came back with the understanding that I might stay longer. I know the club and the city, and settling back in was very easy." He was speaking to Kicker.
"I recently spent half a year playing abroad in Europe, but things didn’t work out as hoped for everyone involved. That’s why it’s a nice story how this move came about."
The Austrian returned in the winter transfer window on loan from Danish side Brøndby IF.
Since returning to Germany, the 31-year-old has scored two goals in five appearances for Augsburg.
