According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo and Michael terminated his contract on Friday 30, leaving the winger free to sign for Al-Ula (SAU) after an underwhelming second spell.
The 29-year-old had left Al-Hilal (SAU) to return to Brazil in mid-2024. From then until the termination he made 45 appearances, but injuries kept him out of 25 matches.
In that period he scored six goals and supplied four assists. He also recorded 35 successful dribbles, 31 key passes and 15 accurate crosses.
Those figures apply only to his second stint. His first stay was more impactful, with 20 goals between 2019 and 2021, when Al-Hilal (SAU) bought him.
Santos made an approach for the winger, but the player requested figures the club would not pay. Al-Ula (SAU) then came in with a proposal worth three million dollars, R$ 16 million, which convinced him.
Without Michael, Flamengo face Corinthians in the Supercopa Rei final on Sunday 01. The match starts at 16:00 Brasília time at Mané Garrincha, in the federal capital.
