Michael move to Santos delayed by Flamengo signing-on fee dispute | OneFootball

Michael is on Flamengo’s list of players available for transfer in 2026, and has agreed terms with Santos, but his move is on hold over an outstanding payment.

According to Globo.com, the forward is seeking around R$ 2 million from the signing-on fee agreed when he returned in 2024 during Rodolfo Landim’s tenure.

He arrived as a free agent at that time, yet the club committed almost R$ 28.8 million in signing-on fees. Flamengo are not making the exit difficult, but view the dispute as substantial and the current understanding is that, unless he forgoes the sum, the deal will not move.

Michael is not in the club’s plans and lost ground across last season. A meeting at the training centre on Tuesday, which also confirmed the first team’s return to the Campeonato Carioca, largely addressed squad arrivals and departures.

He ended 2025 with 29 appearances, including 15 starts, scoring two goals and providing four assists for Flamengo.
