Michael ‘to join’ Santos on loan if wages agreed

Flamengo are willing to loan Michael to Santos for one season, GE reports.

Any agreement depends on the São Paulo club reaching salary terms with the player.

Santos have prioritised attacking reinforcements in this window and have targeted Michael on a loan deal.

Before turning to Michael, Santos tried to sign Rony and talks with the player were advanced, but Atlético-MG, who hold his economic rights, did not authorise a move.

Michael is on Flamengo’s list of negotiable players after limited opportunities last season under coach Filipe Luís. His contract with the Rio club runs until the end of 2028.
