Michail Antonio, 35, has signed for Al-Sailiya in Qatar, his first club since a serious car crash in December 2024. The club, who are 10th in the Qatari league, announced the move on Monday evening.
The Jamaica international had been a free agent since his West Ham contract expired in August after the Hammers chose not to renew. He joined West Ham in 2015.
His car struck a tree as he drove home after training, causing multiple fractures to his thigh. He required surgery and spent more than three weeks in hospital.
Antonio returned to action in June, coming on in the 85th minute for Jamaica in a 0-1 group-stage defeat to Guatemala at the Gold Cup. He has 24 caps and five goals for his country.
He is West Ham's all-time leading scorer with 83 goals in 323 appearances. A photo of the 35-year-old in his new shirt and a video of his goals accompanied the announcement, while the length and financial terms of his deal were not disclosed.
