Michel Aebischer ‘to join’ Union Berlin from Pisa | OneFootball

Michel Aebischer has agreed to join Union Berlin from Pisa, according to multiple reports in Italy.

Kicker has not confirmed those claims, though the German outlet reports Union are seeking a central midfielder.

The Switzerland international spent last season on loan at Pisa, but could not keep the club in Serie A. Pisa have since activated their option to buy from Bologna.

Aebischer, 29, made over 100 appearances for Bologna and was part of the squad that won the club’s first major title in half a century.

He has 44 caps for Switzerland and featured in their first four matches at the 2026 World Cup, when they reached the quarter-final for the first time since 1938.

Union continued pre-season with a 3-2 win over Cypriot side Aris Limassol FC on Saturday, as new signings Emmanuel Latte Lath and Zeno Van den Bosch scored their first goals for the club.
