Championship side Middlesbrough have finalised a deal to sign Aidan Morris from MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew.
The midfielder will move to England for a reported fee of $4 million, and will join a Boro side looking to improve upon their 8th place finish in 2023/24 campaign.
“I’m just so blessed. My heart is Black & Gold. It’s been an amazing ride,” Morris said. “Besides from all the MLS Cups, I’ve created amazing relationships here with amazing people, and that goes a lot more of a way than winning.”
Meanwhile, Boro boss Michael Carrick had his say on the American’s arrival.
“We’re delighted to welcome Aidan to the club,” he said. “He’s a good player. He suits our style of play, he’s strong, he likes to get on the ball, and he plays off both feet.
“He’s a good age, but he’s already had a taste of success and he has a good amount of experience. We’re excited to work with him.”
