Portsmouth have announced the news that midfielder Annie Rolf has signed a new one-year professional contract with the club.

Pompey revealed their latest professional deal via a post on their official club website this evening.

The midfielder joined Portsmouth in January 2022 after returning to the UK following a period combining playing football with her studies in the United States. Rolf has gone on to make 53 appearances for Pompey in all competitions in which she has scored 10 goals.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion academy graduate endured a frustrating 2023/2024 campaign as a result of injuries and she will be hoping for a clean bill of health in the upcoming season in what will be her first as a professional player.

After signing professional terms with Portsmouth, Rolf said “I’m feeling really good. I’ve been working closely with the strength and conditioning team in the off-season to ensure that I’m in a good place, and I’m feeling fit and strong.

“Now I’m just really excited to get going, get back to training and see the girls again, and hopefully there are no more setbacks.”

Rolf joins teammates Hannah Haughton, Riva Casley, Georgie Freeland, Jazz Younger, Sophie Quirk and Emily Pitman in signing a professional contract with the Hampshire side ahead of their maiden Barclays Women’s Championship campaign.
