Vivianne Miedema and Kerolin are in contention for February's Barclays Women's Super League Player of the Month award.
The duo played instrumental roles in another strong month for City which saw us remain at the division’s summit heading into the latest international break.
Andrée Jeglertz’s side started the month with a phenomenal 5-1 win over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium where Kerolin struck a sublime hat-trick against the reigning champions.
After the Brazilian had opened the scoring, Miedema provided the assist for Bunny Shaw’s strike which doubled our lead before the interval.
And the Netherlands’ international rounded off the scoring over the Londoners with 18 minutes remaining after Kerolin had completed her treble.
A narrow 1-0 defeat to Arsenal followed which represented only our second WSL loss of the season so far, but we responded in spectacular fashion five days later against Leicester.
Jeglertz’s side put the Foxes to the sword 6-0 at the Joie Stadium with both Miedema and Kerolin key to the success.
After Shaw had broke the deadlock, the WSL’s all-time leading scorer, Miedema, struck twice before Hasegawa made it four ahead of the interval - with the Japanese’s strike assisted by Kerolin.
The Brazilian then put her name on the scoresheet three minutes after the break with Aoba Fujino the final scorer on the night.
It meant Miedema finished February with three goals and one assist in the WSL and Kerolin racked up four goals and one assist.
City’s duo are joined on the shortlist by Everton’s Martina Fernandez and Yuka Momiki, Spurs’ Olivia Holdt and Manchester United’s Julia Zigiotti.
