Roma are being once again linked with Georgian attacker Georges Mikautadze.
The Giallorossi had already monitored Mikautadze in the past, both in the summer of 2023, when he ended up at Lyon, and in the January market, when the French club’s requests were considered excessive.
Today, however, the scenario has changed: the Georgian striker is destined to leave the club, and a new opportunity could open up for the Giallorossi.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the player’s pricetag – initially set at 30 million euros – could now drop to 20 million, making the operation much more sustainable for the Giallorossi. A concrete option if the club were to manage to place Shomurodov and Abraham, the latter being followed with interest in Turkey and the United States.
Frederic Massara, Roma’s new sporting director, knows the French market well and appreciates Mikautadze’s profile.
The centre-forward closed last season with 17 goals and 11 assists, important numbers that make him a potential ideal reinforcement for the offensive gameplan of Gian Piero Gasperini.
