FC Barcelona have a lot on their plate at the moment, and most of it has to do with external operations. The Catalan club needs to incorporate sales while also finding other sources of revenue at the moment. However, all in all, things are proving to be rather complicated for Barcelona.

The potential sale of Mikayil Faye, for instance, has been nothing short of a headache as per recent reports. While previous reports suggested that Portuguese side FC Porto were willing to give close to €15 million for his signing, it is now being reported that they would not be able to offer more than €5 million for the player’s arrival.

However, the player himself has now spoken out in the middle of all these rumors. Yet, it is not a press conference of any kind or even any kind of explicit message regarding his future, but instead a rather cryptic six-word Instagram story (h/t Barca Times), one that was posted on his account just today: “Your Story is still being writ.”

No matter the chaos that continues to circulate in regards to his future, the player himself has spoken out for once this time. Only he knows specifically what he desires and what he wants from his future. At the moment, there are simply too many conflicting reports in regards to the future of the Barcelona Atletic defender.

Some reports continue to suggest that there may still be a place for him in the Barcelona first team. These reports suggest that Hansi Flick would be open to testing the player during the pre-season tour to the United States of America, and his resourcefulness to the first team could potentially even arrive as a left-back.

For now, however, nothing seems to be clear to the people outside the deal itself. Fans of Barcelona can do nothing but speculate as the player’s future gradually unfolds.

Before Barcelona can eventually go on and proceed with making signings and targeting players, they need to first sort out the operation that is already reportedly advanced to work things out.
