Mike Penders and Leandro Trossard out of Nations League meeting with France | OneFootball

Mark Van Bommel confirmed on Sunday that Mike Penders and Leandro Trossard will miss Belgium's Nations League match against France on Monday, kick-off 20:45.

According to L'Équipe, both players had already sat out Friday's 2-0 match against Italy in Rome. The France game will be played at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.

Former Strasbourg goalkeeper Penders, 21, now at Chelsea, has a quadriceps injury. Trossard, 21, who joined Besiktas from Arsenal in the summer, is dealing with bone oedema in a heel.

Van Bommel said their situations would be monitored and that he could not add further detail.

The pair trained with the squad on Sunday in Tubize. The coach added that the remainder of his group is unchanged from the Italy fixture.
