Mikel Arteta believes Leeds United can retain their Premier League status this season, praising the Elland Road experience and hoping he is right. According to Leeds Live, the Arsenal manager voiced a positive view of Daniel Farke's side.
The Premier League leaders won 4-0 at Elland Road, having beaten the Whites 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium at the start of the season.
Despite questions over whether they were throwing away their title chances, Arsenal were in control early on. Leeds improved after the break following a tactical change, but the Gunners had already secured the points.
Arteta said he thinks Leeds will stay up, citing organisation, threat and quality. He suggested they have been smart and can play in different ways.
He also highlighted the Elland Road atmosphere, describing it as a unique, intense setting that lifts the level and is hard to match.
Leeds will hope he is right and have a chance to improve their position when they return to action on Friday night against Nottingham Forest.
