Mikel Arteta has admitted that Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice "did not look good" after Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

The Gunners were forced to settle for just one point from their trip to Stamford Bridge on Sunday - with Gabriel Martinelli the only Arsenal player to find the back of the net. His impressive strike was quickly neutralised by Pedro Neto, who brought the sides level shortly after the hour-mark.

Neither the west nor the north London side could find another goal, while Leandro Trossard missed out on securing three points for Arsenal when he fired an effort wide in the final seconds of the game.

But it wasn't just the scoreline that Arteta had to contend with - as both Saka and Rice were forced to leave the game early. The former limped off the pitch after a clash with Marc Cucurella, while the latter was swapped for Mikel Merino after playing with a suspected foot injury.

"They [Saka and Rice] don't look very good," Arteta told Sky Sports after the tie in west London."I don't know [if it's long-term]. They both couldn't finish the game, so not good.

"The disappointment of not getting three points is bigger [than being satisfied] and it will probably be bigger after watching it back. I think we dominated them, we were the better team in many phases and situations in the game and after going ahead, very disappointed in the way we conceded. It was so poor. It is not our standards and we don't accept."

Arsenal are set to face Nottingham Forest on 23 November after the international break.
