Milan and Juventus are on high alert after LaLiga confirmed that Barcelona will not be allowed to register Dani Olmo due to financial restrictions.
The clubs had already been linked with a potential swoop for the player and this afternoon LaLiga announced that Barcelona are not going to get special dispensation to register Olmo or Pau Vitor for the second half of the 2024-25 season.

They had been allowed to register the pair for the first six months, but have missed the deadline to balance their costs and fit the wage cap restrictions.
Barcelona do plan to appeal, but Milan and Juventus could try to offer them a temporary solution by taking the 26-year-old on loan.
It is not dissimilar to the approach Milan took to sign David Beckham for two consecutive campaigns in 2009 and 2010.
The Blaugrana paid €60m to sign Olmo from RB Leipzig in August 2024 and so far this term he has scored six goals with one assist in 15 competitive games.
