Milan Consider Audacious Chase of Fiorentina Star Kean

Moise Kean will have multiple suitors in the summer, including an unsuspected one, Milan, which might go after him following a chain of events. He has maintained a good relationship with Massimiliano Allegri, who would be the front-runner for their bench if Igli Tare was appointed as the sporting director, Mediaset informs.

Both would want to bring in more Italian players into the squad. There’s a €52M release clause in his contract, but the Rossoneri would try with €30/35M offer. They’d be open to quickly selling Santiago Gimenez, who hasn’t settled in Serie A, for a good bid, or they’d keep both.

Whether the proposal will come from Milan or more likely foreign signs, Fiorentina are aware that the release clause of Kean has become attainable. It’ll be valid in first 15 days of July.

President Rocco Commisso spoke about his star to Sky after the return leg versus Celje (via Gianluca Di Marzio).

“You should leave him alone, so he stays here. I don’t know yet whether he’ll do, but I’ll have a chat with him when we’ll go to Cagliari.”

Our Take on Milan and Kean

You can never say never in the transfer market, but they haven’t made up their minds about the director yet, let alone the coach and the possible targets, and they spent a lot for a marksman in January. There’s no reason the Viola would sell him for less than his release clause. The activation of those is rare in Serie A since they can’t be paid in installments. Ironically enough, the team that should target him is Juventus. Their situation in the role and his status are a lot different a year later.
