Milan have been handed positive news over Mario Gila, with tests confirming that the defender escaped serious injury after limping out of Saturday’s friendly against Celtic.

The Spaniard was withdrawn early during the 2-2 draw in Glasgow, an premature exit that briefly raised concern in the Milan camp.
