Reports in Italy claim that Milan are also among the clubs interested in striking a deal with Liverpool for attacker Darwin Nunez, who has also been linked with a move to Napoli in the summer transfer window.
Milan are actively seeking new attacking additions to support Santiago Gimenez at centre-forward.
Luka Jovic is increasingly likely to leave upon the expiry of his contract at the end of his month, despite brief talks over an extension, Tammy Abraham is set to return to parent club Roma at the end of his loan deal, while both Lorenzo Colombo and Francesco Camarda are likely to be allowed to leave on loan.
That leaves the Rossoneri in need of a new centre-forward to rotate and compete with Gimenez.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Darwin Nunez is the latest name on Milan’s list of potential attacking reinforcements this summer.
The Uruguayan is increasingly out of favour at Anfield, despite having another three years left to run on his current contract.

Given that Jurgen Klopp and his team spent a reported €75m plus up to €25m in bonuses to sign Darwin from Benfica two years ago, La Gazzetta dello Sport predicts that Liverpool are unlikely to accept anything less than €45m-€50m in fixed fees from interested teams this summer.
Both Darwin and Milan have alternative options, however.
There are unspecified Saudi Pro League clubs who could also offer the Uruguayan a way out of Liverpool according to Gazzetta, while Milan remain interested in a number of alternative strikers, including Dusan Vlahovic, Mateo Retegui and Lorenzo Lucca.
