While Milan are also expected to meet with Matthias Jaissle of Al-Ahli, it is increasingly likely their next coach will be former Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner.

The Rossoneri are having a total revamp after sacking coach Max Allegri, director of sport Igli Tare, CEO Giorgio Furlani and technical director Geoffrey Moncada with a single statement.

They seem to have a short list of two names for the bench, namely Jaissle and Glasner.

While Fabrizio Romano states today that there is a meeting planned with Jaissle, the warning from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Daniele Longo and Milan Press is that the cost of buying him out of his contract with Al-Ahli would be too much to handle.

On the other hand, Glasner is already a free agent from June 30, when his contract with Crystal Palace runs down.

He is fresh from winning the Conference League on their bench and the 51-year-old had previous experiences with Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolfsburg and LASK.

Above all, Glasner is the name put forward by likely new Milan technical director Ralf Rangnick.

This too is not sure either, as Rangnick has not yet decided whether to stay on with the Austria national team, and there are rumours Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not happy at someone having so much power.
