Thanks to a 3-1 win against Bologna earlier today, which included a goal from Mattia Liberali, Milan Primavera extended their unbeaten run to three games in the league.
After a somewhat disappointing 1-1 draw against Cremonese in the previous round, Federico Guidi’s boys headed into today’s clash against Bologna with all eyes on three points. Luckily, they succeeded and thus extended their unbeaten run to three games.
Mattia Liberali opened the scoring after just 15 minutes, scoring his second goal of the season for the Primavera. For the talented 17-year-old, it has been a rather tough season so seeing him on the scoresheet again is indeed very nice.
Admittedly, the Bologna defence should have done a lot better – as you can see in the video below – but Liberali also did well to take the chance.
Bologna equalised just before the second half through Adessi, so there was a bitter-sweet feeling as Guidi’s side headed into the locker room for the interval.
In the second half, Christian Comotto doubled the lead with an easy tap-in following a great free-kick from Gabriele Alesi, which was then headed on by Adam Bakoune.
Just two minutes later, Filippo Scotti sealed the deal from inside the box after a good run and pass by Vittorio Magni. It was the 18-year-old’s 10th goal of the season, and he also had seven assists to his name which says a lot.
As a result of the win, Milan Primavera are now fifth with 40 points, three points behind city rivals Inter and nine behind league leaders Roma.
