Milan has completed their first signing and is closing in on their second one, but they will also be busy selling players this summer to reshape their squad. They plot to part ways with a few centerpieces, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
For instance, Youssouf Fofana would be let go for the right offer, around €25M. Ruben Amorim isn’t too high on him. The same goes for Fikayo Tomori because he isn’t great with the ball on his feet. The Rossoneri demand €20M in his case. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been on the market for a while due to his injury history and high salary.
The gaffer and Rafael Leao will have a proper chat only after the World Cup, but Milan are working on his sale alongside Jorge Mendes. However, his price tag is €60/70M, and it’s not easy to find takers at those numbers. A loan with an obligation to buy or other formulas that could help buyers could be in order.
The Rossoneri value Santi Giménez at €21M. He sprained his ankle in the last Mexico game, which might affect his future. Instead, the gaffer esteems Ardon Jashari, who had a tough maiden Serie A season. Atalanta will try again, though. Instead, Christian Pulisic is being courted by the New York City FC and Liverpool, but owner Gerry Cardinale wants to keep him and extend his contract, TuttoSport relays.
They are going in reverse, probably to change the narrative after a rough start to their summer, as they began buying before selling, which not many sides have the strength to do. Most of their calls are fair, but they’ll be hard-pressed to get those sums for their outbound players.
