Milan have been closely monitoring Alexis Saelemaekers’ progress at Roma.
If it weren’t for Paulo Dybala’s brace, Alexis Saelemaekers would have been the man of the match in Roma-Parma.
With a goal, a penalty won and a performance of great intensity in the right wing role, the Belgian confirmed that he is an essential element for Claudio Ranieri.
Thanks to his versatility, Saelemaekers has adapted naturally to the tactical changes requested by the coach, becoming a pillar in the reconstruction of the team.
Roma hope to keep him for next season, but the road ahead appears to be complicated, writes La Repubblica.
Milan – who own Saelemaekers – are watching the player’s progress with interest, aware that his value could grow further.
Last summer, the agreement between the two clubs was hastily drawn up: a series of loans that brought Saelemaekers to Roma and Tammy Abraham to Milan as a luxury reserve.
However, an injury to the English centre-forward forced the parties to review the agreement, transforming it into a dry loan for both players.
Milan are now in a strong position. Saelemaekers, under contract until 2027, could be valued at least €15 million, but the price is set to rise if the Belgian continues to perform at the level seen in recent weeks.
