AC Milan let the goals fly at San Siro on Tuesday, thumping Sassuolo 6-1 in the Coppa Italia Round of 16.
Scorers: Chukwueze 12', 21', Reijnders 17', Leão 23', Calabria 56', Abraham 61'; Mulattieri 59'
It was sheer dominance inside one of Italy's greatest stadiums as multiple names delivered for Milan while others struggled for Serie B side Sassuolo.
A stunning first half put the game to bed in just 23 minutes as the hosts ran rampant.
Samuel Chukwueze received a ball over the top and finished his missed effort on the rebound before Tijjani Reijnders doubled things with a strike from well outside the box.
Chukwueze made it two on the night by racing into the box and finding the far left side of the net. Rafael Leão scored the eventual fourth past the visitors with a bullet strike from inside the box.
Sassuolo managed to stifle Milan's surging form in the second half, but that didn't mean they kept them off the scoresheet.
Davide Calabria scored a stunning curling effort into the far side of the net before Tammy Abraham made things six on the night to cruise into the quarter-finals.
The hosts didn't earn a clean sheet, though, as Samuele Mulattieri pulled one back from the hosts with a rocket at the near post.
