Milan to scout Alessandro Romano on Ruben Amorim’s request | OneFootball

Serie A side Cagliari have seen Alessandro Romano grow in stature this season and he has also been called up to the Italian national team. More than that, the youngster is now attracting attention from Milan.

The midfielder came through Roma’s youth academy and also spent his younger days in Switzerland. The Sardinian side roped him on a loan deal and have a conditional obligation to buy.

Daniele Longo has reported that interest in Romano is growing, with Milan boss Ruben Amorim specifically looking to keep an eye on him. This has led to him assigning a specific scout to monitor him when he takes to the pitch against Belgium at the Stadio Olimpico later this week.

Juventus and Inter are also keeping an eye on the talent, who is also of interest to some Spanish clubs.

Cagliari are currently not keen on a sale in January and any discussions will be postponed until the summer. Their valuation is likely to lie between €20 million and €25 million but that too could change, if he keeps progressing in the next few months.

Naturally, a big move will come and it only feels like a matter of time.
