Milan want Rabiot to commit to long-term contract | OneFootball

Thursday’s reports claim that Milan want midfielder Adrien Rabiot to commit to a new long-term contract, and that the Frenchman could potentially end up seeing his career out in San Siro if he decides to accept.

Milan want Rabiot to sign until 2030

Rabiot joined Milan from Marseille last summer, penning a two-year contract with an option to extend for a further 12 months. He is now into the second year of that contract and reports earlier this week indicated that the 12-month extension will be a mere formality.

However, according to Thursday’s updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are hoping that the France international commits to a new contract. This would potentially be for another two years with an option for an additional 12 months, i.e. at least until 2029, if not until 2030.

If that were to be the case, Rabiot would be 35 years old at the end of his Rossoneri contract.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Gerry Cardinale is set to personally handle negotiations and that getting Rabiot to commit to a new deal is one of the club’s biggest priorities when Cardinale is next in Italy, in October.
