Milan have been following Javi Lopez for months now and are debating making a move for the Deportivo Alaves left back in the summer, Matteo Moretto reports.
The Rossoneri have been looking for some cover for the left back role after sending Fode Ballo-Toure to Fulham in the summer, leaving just Theo Hernandez in the position with no cover. Earlier this month, the club invested €4.5m in Hellas Verona right back Filippo Terracciano.
Javi Lopez became a first team regular for Alaves last season and has continued impressing in the Spanish topflight this term, providing three assists across 18 games, one of which came against Xavi’s Barcelona.
Transfer market expert Matteo Moretto told Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing that Milan have been keeping a close eye on Javi Lopez for months now and they’re considering trying to sign the 21-year-old in the coming summer transfer window.
The Spanish left back in contracted to Alaves until June 2025 and has an estimated market value of around €3-5m.
