Nottingham Forest will be without Nikola Milenkovic against Coventry City, while Jair Cunha remains a doubt, following Saturday’s 2-1 win at Aston Villa. According to Nottingham Post, both centre-backs were dealing with hamstring problems.

Late scans on Friday led to the pair withdrawing less than 24 hours before kick-off, forcing Oliver Glasner into a backline reshuffle.

Glasner said Milenkovic’s problem is more serious, he will miss Coventry, and they are hopeful he can return after the international break, adding that a three-week pause is welcome.

Jair will be assessed, with the head coach hopeful he could be ready for Coventry, though he stressed they will not risk a hamstring.

Murillo had pain in his knees during Friday’s session but declared himself fit and completed the full 90 minutes.

The reshuffle saw Ousmane Diomande take the central role on his first Premier League start, with full-back Ola Aina used as the right-sided centre-back.

It was a first real test of Forest’s depth after loaning out Morato and Zach Abbott on deadline day, yet Villa were limited to seven attempts at goal.

Glasner also noted Ryan Yates can cover at centre-back after featuring there in pre-season.
