Arkadiusz Milik returned to action in pre season, and he even scored a goal for Juventus. He would have been hoping that he would get another chance to wear their black and white shirt this season.
However, Juve have long considered him to be out of their project, and the men at the Allianz Stadium wanted him to leave during the last transfer window.
No team was willing to take a risk on the former Napoli striker, and as soon as Juve realised that, they offered to terminate his contract by mutual consent and hand him a severance package.
It was the exact type of agreement they had with Arthur Melo, and the Brazilian is now a free agent who can join any club he likes to continue his career.
Milik received a similar offer from the Bianconeri, but Tuttojuve says he rejected it and wanted to bet on himself to prove himself at the club this season.
Luciano Spalletti has never planned to use him and has not included him in the Europa League squad, while also ignoring the Polish star in competitive matches this season.
That leaves Milik in a difficult position at Juventus, particularly because the club had already made its intentions clear during the transfer window.
The striker returned during pre-season and even found the net, which could have given him hope of earning another opportunity. However, his situation has remained unchanged despite that effort.

Milik will struggle to find another top club and may never earn as much as he does at Juve now, which could be why he does not want to leave.
Remaining at Juventus allows him to continue earning his current salary, even though he is not part of Spalletti’s plans and has been left out of competitive matches.
For Milik, the decision therefore appears to be about backing himself to change his situation rather than accepting the severance package offered by the Bianconeri.
Juve, meanwhile, will have to continue dealing with a player they no longer consider part of their project, while Milik waits for an opportunity to prove himself at the club.
