The Lions have released statistics in line with their Action Plan commitments from last season.

Millwall enjoyed their best season in 32 years, but there was a sense of frustration in South East London after their play-off defeat to Hull City.

The Lions finished the Championship campaign in third, just one point behind Ipswich Town as the fight for automatic promotion came down to the final day.

However, Alex Neil's side surrendered without a whimper as they drew 0-0 at the MKM Stadium before losing 2-0 at home in the semi-finals as Hull City surprised everyone and reached the Premier League by beating Middlesbrough at Wembley Stadium.

Over the course of the season, 28 fans were ejected from matches at The Den, and now the club have confirmed the finer details.

The Lions have long had a reputation for being one of England's fiercest clubs, although fan violence is no longer at the level it was in the 1980s.

Steps have been taken since then to punish football fans of all clubs for violence, with banning orders, CCTV and improved intelligence drastically reducing trouble up and down the country.

However, there were still a host of offences recorded during the 2025/26 season, and now Millwall have published its incident summary report for matchdays at The Den in line with its Action Plan commitments.

All recorded offences took place in both the home and away stands, with fighting and assault the most common offence, making up 32 percent of ejections.

Intoxication and missile throwing, as well as misuse of safety equipment, made up 21 percent of ejections, while ticketing irregularities and discriminatory or offensive language made up 11 percent.

Abuse towards staff made up the smallest percentage of ejections at four percent.

When the Hammers were relegated from the Premier League, attention turned to their future meeting with the Lions as they renew their rivalry after a 14-year absence.

The Irons were successful on that occasion, winning 2-1 after goals from Carlton Cole and Winston Reid trumped Liam Trotter's penalty.

Despite the pre-match concern of violence, the game passed with far less trouble than anticipated after the police mounted a significant operation to deter trouble.

The clash between the two sides next season will capture the headlines again, but the police will surely be prepared to ensure there is as little trouble as possible.

Millwall and West Ham are set to meet at The Den on 19 September, with the kick-off scheduled for 3pm, although it would be unsurprising if the game was moved to an earlier time to prevent trouble, while it would also be a popular choice for live television.
