Football League World rounds up the latest transfer talk at Millwall

There has been plenty of recent transfer chatter surrounding Millwall, who will have designs of sustaining the stability put in place by Neil Harris at the back-end of last season or even upsetting the odds to challenge for unlikely play-off contention.

Harris left Cambridge United to return to Millwall and steer them away from a daunting relegation dogfight back in February and did exactly that, with the Lions claiming eight victories from their final 13 matches to eventually secure a respectable 13th-placed finish.

Millwall will require a strong transfer window if they are to avoid a potential repeat of relegation worry, though, and talk is aplenty regarding both incomings and outgoings.

With that in mind, Football League World has rounded up all the latest transfer bulletins at The Den...

Everton, Southampton, Brighton and Brentford circle for Millwall prospect

According to Football Insider, the top-flight quartet are all circling for highly-rated Millwall talent Josh Stephenson, who was named as the club's Academy Player of the Season last term.

Stephenson is capable of operating in defence and midfield and is still awaiting his professional debut with the Lions, although the present Premier League interest speaks volumes of his promise.

While the likes of Eberechi Eze, Sam Edozie and Darko Gyabi have all moved from Millwall's academy before going on to graduate to the Premier League, Romain Esse's recent first-team trajectory serves as a timely reminder of the opportunities available at the club.

Stephenson's stance remains unclear at this stage, and you can imagine that the Lions will be eager to maintain his services for the long-term future.

Wrexham in transfer hunt for Millwall's Tom Bradshaw

Meanwhile, there could be another potential exit in the form of Tom Bradshaw, who has attracted recent interest from newly-promoted League One side Wrexham as per the South London Press.

Bradshaw struggled for form last season and only scored four times from 43 outings, a significant drop-off from his 17-goal haul the year before.

He's now approaching the final year of his current contract with the Lions and is soon to celebrate his 32nd birthday, meaning it wouldn't come as a huge surprise to see Millwall sanction a summer sale to the upwardly-mobile Welsh outfit.

A separate report from Football Insider last week claimed that Millwall have submitted an undisclosed offer for Notts County's in-demand frontman Macaulay Langstaff, who looks set for a Meadow Lane departure this summer.

Langstaff scored 28 times last season for Notts County, who failed to combine their attacking verve with defensive astuteness and finished the 2023/24 League Two campaign in 14th position.

When quizzed upon the Langstaff claim, Harris played his cards close to his chest and neither confirmed nor denied the rumour of an official bid.

"I'm fully aware of what has been written in the press and leaked online," said Harris via Richard Cawley of the South London Press.

"But I am not prepared to talk about other club's players in detail.

"What I will say is I'm fully aware of the player, having started last season in League Two and seen a lot of the player at the start of the season and watched a lot of National League football the season before.
