Millwall have agreed a deal to sign Middlesbrough striker Duncan Watmore, Dominic Shaw of The Northern Echo has revealed.
The Lions have been looking to bolster their striking options for a while during this January transfer window and a move for the Boro forward has been finalised.
Benik Afobe and Isaac Olaofe both secured exits from The Den earlier in the month, leaving the play-off chasers with an accelerated need to address their forward line options.
The 28-year-old has less than six months left on his current deal at the Riverside and has dropped down the pecking order because of the business conducted by the Teesside club.

Millwall currently sit eighth in the second tier standings and are only denied a spot in the play-offs because of goal difference.
The verdict
Watmore is a player who will bring something completely different to Millwall’s frontline and represents excellent business from the Lions, should no complications arise from this point on.
Possessing electric pace, bundles of energy and someone who reads the game very well, Watmore causes havoc for defences when operating off the shoulder of the last defender.
In the last year of his contract, it does make sense for Boro to sanction his departure, especially when they have managed to bolster their striking options this month.
Not only are Millwall proving Watmore with another opportunity in the Championship, but it will also be a chance to help the Lions in their quest of securing a play-off place in what remains of this campaign.
