Millwall beat Preston North End 2-0 at Deepdale, staying third in the Championship as the hosts slipped to 12th.

Before the interval, David Cornell tipped away Camiel Neghli's drive, and the Lions kept forcing corners to pin Preston back.

After the restart, Anthony Patterson denied Callum Lang from close range as Preston pushed for a leveller.

The fourth official indicated five minutes of added time.

Luke Cundle then sealed it in the second minute of second half stoppage time, turning in Femi Azeez's cross on a fast break.

The Lions registered 16 attempts and won six corners. Preston had 57.1% possession but produced only two efforts on target.

Next, Preston host Oxford United. The Lions visit Hull.
