As part of their preparations for the new season, Feyenoord Rotterdam played a friendly against Gent this Saturday. The match, held at the Varkenoord sports complex, ended in a 2-1 defeat for the Dutch side. But what truly caught everyone’s attention was the notable absence of Anis Hadj Moussa (23), who was left out of the squad by coach Robin van Persie. In his post-match statements, the Dutch manager revealed that the Algerian international picked up a minor sprain during training. As a precaution, he was rested to preserve his fitness for upcoming fixtures."Anis is continuing with individual work. He’s making progress, but we preferred not to take any risks at this stage," explained Van Persie.
