A minute’s applause was held at Le Havre to honour Bryan Bergougnoux, who died on 29 May aged 43.

According to L'Équipe, the former attacking midfielder was serving as Didier Digard’s assistant at HAC when the tragedy occurred, and the emotion in the city was palpable.

At the Stade CMA CGM Océane, a banner from Barbarians declared that the HAC family would never forget Bryan Bergougnoux, while la Furia displayed a message saying rest in peace, Mr Bergougnoux.

His name was then chanted around the ground as supporters rose to their feet and applauded.

The tribute came before kick-off of Le Havre’s meeting with Monaco.
