Mixed report on Zirkzee for Juventus from Manchester United with €35m option | OneFootball

There are mixed reports over the status of Juventus negotiations with Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee, on loan with an option to buy for €35m.

It is no secret that the Bianconeri need at least one new striker after losing Dusan Vlahovic and with Lois Openda heading to Olympique Lyonnais.

Zirkzee has also been on their radar for a very long time, even before he made the move from Bologna to Manchester United for €42.5m in the summer of 2024.

How close is Zirkzee to Juventus?

Sun Sport claim today that Juventus are in ‘advanced negotiations’ to bring him to Turin on loan with an option to buy for €35m.

The reports from Sky Sport Italia are less enthusiastic about the state of talks, suggesting that this is going to be a difficult and complex process that is not close to completion.

The cost of the fee is just one issue, as his salary is also a problem for the Old Lady after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Their first choice remains Randal Kolo Muani, so if he arrives from Paris Saint-Germain, there won’t be funds enough for both.

In two years, Zirkzee has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 75 competitive appearances for Manchester United, but never managed to get regular starts.
