Mjällby confirms interest in Frank Junior Adjei
As previously reported by Foot-Africa, Swedish club Mjällby AIF has firmly set its sights on Ghanaian midfielder Frank Junior Adjei from IFK Värnamo as a potential successor to Nicklas Røjkjær.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, still under contract with Värnamo until 2026, is under close observation. The news was confirmed by sporting director Hasse Larsson in an interview with Kristianstadsbladet:
He is one of four or five names we are actively monitoring. We need to see what is feasible, both financially and from a sporting perspective.
Adjei, who was linked with Hammarby IF just a few weeks ago, could soon be at the center of a transfer battle between Swedish clubs in the coming days. At Mjällby, the door appears to be open:
We are not there yet, but I think it would be possible if the right conditions are in place.
With 14 appearances, 2 goals, and 1 assist to his name this season, Frank Adjei has established himself as a regular presence for Värnamo—enough to attract serious attention from the likes of Mjällby AIF and even Hammarby.
