Major League Soccer today announced that FC Cincinnatiā€™s Luca Orellano has won the 2024 AT&T MLS Goal of the Year for his incredible long-distance goal in the 57th minute against CF MontrĆ©al on Saturday, August 31st at TQL Stadium.

The Argentinian shocked the home crowd at TQL as he launched one of the longest recorded free kicks of 79.81 yards from midfield contributing to his clubā€™s 4-1 victory over CF MontrĆ©al. Orellano scored just four minutes earlier in the match also via a free kick, making it his second brace of the season and solidifying his impact as a standout newcomer.

This was Orellanoā€™s second goal from over 40 yards out this season.

The 2024 AT&T MLS Goal of the Year was determined by fan votes on MLSsoccer.com and has been awarded since the leagueā€™s inaugural 1996 season.
