South Korean star Heung-min Son is leaving Tottenham to join Los Angeles FC this summer. The Spurs decided not to stand in the way of their captain, who has always led by example over the past decade. However, the London club did negotiate a strong transfer deal.

Indeed, Son's upcoming move to Los Angeles FC is set to become the most expensive transfer in Major League Soccer history, according to ESPN. The North American franchise is expected to shell out €22.5 million to secure the South Korean's services.

This marks the biggest signing in the history of the North American league, surpassing Emmanuel Latte Lath's transfer to Atlanta from Middlesbrough for €21.25 million in February 2025.
