With their 3-1 victory over Vancouver in the MLS Cup final, Inter Miami clinched their very first United States championship title on Sunday. Lionel Messi played a decisive role in this historic triumph, providing two assists in the season's final showdown.

Messi netted 29 goals and delivered 16 assists in 28 regular season matches before finishing with six goals and seven assists in six playoff games. These outstanding performances have earned him the MLS Player of the Season award this Tuesday.
