AC Milan got their third win in four games under Sergio Conceicao, and it was a third comeback victory against Como on Tuesday night.
MilanNews recall the results so far: a comeback against Juventus from 1-0 down in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final, a turnaround from 2-0 down in the final against Inter, a 1-1 draw against Cagliari with many missed chances and another come-from-behind win in Como.
Despite this obvious fighting spirit and the three wins, the coach is not yet satisfied with what he is seeing, something that he admitted after the game in his post-match interviews.
“We have to improve a lot, in terms of play. They accept it. We have been coming back for three games, there is character. We can improve them physically, tactically, technically and in terms of attitude,” he said.
“I can even talk for two hours but if they don’t get it into their heads it will be difficult. Then there are the players’ muscular problems, we are evaluating everything that was done before my arrival. We have to press harder, with more intensity. There is a lot of work.”
In other words, the Portuguese has admitted that the team are not yet grasping what he wants in terms of game plan and style of play, while he has inherited a squad that are struggling physically.

This team, however, is missing something. Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders seriously need to catch their breath as the relative dip in recent performances shows. The report adds that Warren Bondo – who only costs about €10m – could be the right man.
Up front, meanwhile, a real striker is needed. It is difficult to imagine that one can arrive in January, given the costs involved and how difficult it is to do business in the winter, but negotiations are ongoing over Marcus Rashford.
Noah Okafor will return to the fold after his transfer to RB Leipzig fell through following a medical that allegedly showed physical problems. The reality is that no agreement was reached between the Swiss’s entourage and the German club, as per MilanNews.
